Old
Western Photography is just a part of
what the photographer Gary O'Toole does.
O.P.T.I.C. (O'Toole Photographic Talent
Image Company) Photography has been in
business since 1964 and has over 1.2 million
photographs on file. It would be impractical
to show that many photographs on this
web site so only photographs of general
interest are presented here. |

Gary
is a true renaissance man. Many of the photos
on this web site have been taken while sitting
in the saddle, on his mustang horse Sunrise.
He is dedicated to preserving the natural
beauty and the historical significance of
the places he visits and is careful to "take
only photos and leave only footprints". |
As
an experienced photographer with almost
half a century under his belt, Gary O'Toole
is interested in the wonders of nature in
all of its aspects, including landscapes,
nature, old western structures and ghost
towns, flowers and exotic plants, the architecture
and design of old trains, wagons and mine
equipment, and last but not least, the wonderful
creatures God has created. |

Hundreds of Gary's photographs have been seen on calendars, post cards, home and garden, trade magazines, church pamthlets, pin and ink drawings for greeting cards, hospital and doctors waiting rooms, and now nearing 200 photos commemorating state parks for their web site covering California, Nevada, and Utah. As a graduate of famous photographers school in New York, he is an all around professional photographer. |
From
the searing heat of the valleys in summer, to
the freezing cold of the high sierra's in winter,
nothing escapes the ever watchful eye of his camera.
